Barry Smith's Lectures

Barry Smith is very well experienced around both the philosophy of ontology and practical applications. I've found his videos valuable to understand some of the state of the art on setting up large ontologies. Ontologies can be rather dry to understand, but are the only ways to organize some kinds of information, and can be really useful when organizing research among many researchers.

Barry Smith has written books, but they seem much older than his presentations, and often seem more theoretical.
